EIDF in Seoul to screen ‘Makeup Artist’

Iranian film ‘Makeup Artist’ has made its way to the EBS International Documentary Festival (EIDF) in South Korea.

‘Makeup Artist’, directed by Jafar Najafi, will compete in the 19th edition of EIDF.

“Mina, determined to realize her dreams, not only refuses to succumb to her husband and mother-in-law’s fierce opposition but also paves her own path and pushes forward along it. Gradually, it looks as if the people and world around her are starting to change…,” a synopsis for the film reads.

The film won several awards, including an Award of Excellence at the Yamagata International Documentary Film Festival (YIDFF) in Japan, and the FIPRESCI Award at the International Documentary Film Festival Amsterdam (IDFA) in the Netherlands.

The EBS International Documentary Festival will take place in Seoul on August 22-28.
